FAQ

Questions about hiring developers.

Answers to common questions about how we recruit, screen and place software engineers.

What kind of company is JobDisrupt?

A recruitment and staffing agency that only works on technical roles: software developers, DevOps and cloud engineers, data engineers, QA and engineering leaders.

Who do you work with?

IT companies, software product teams, agencies and businesses with an in-house tech team. We also work with developers looking for their next role.

Do you do permanent and contract hiring?

Both, plus staff augmentation where developers work inside your team. Terms depend on the role and are agreed in writing before work starts.

How do you screen developers?

We talk through work they have shipped, ask how they made decisions, and review code or projects when they can share them. Each shortlisted candidate comes with a written summary.

Which technologies do you recruit for?

PHP (Laravel, Symfony, Drupal, Magento, WordPress), Python, JavaScript and TypeScript (React, Vue, Angular, Node), Java, .NET, mobile (Flutter, React Native, Swift, Kotlin), and DevOps and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform).

Can you help if we hire on our own?

Yes. We can help write job specs, screen applicants and design practical interview exercises.

Where do the jobs on the jobs page come from?

They are collected from public job boards and shown with a link to the original listing. Applications go to the employer on that site, not to us.

Is it free for developers?

Yes. Developers never pay us. Employers pay for searches and placements.

Can a search be confidential?

Yes, if you ask. We can run a search without naming your company until a candidate is a serious fit.
