About the role:

The core focus of the role is to support the Senior Buyer of the category in range selection, assortment planning and supplier sourcing through managing the product assortment and suppliers. You will represent your category and the company by maintaining positive relationships with them whilst negotiating terms and pricing.

In a busy Buying team, with a very fast paced category, the role will work across vendor management and range management. Working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing and Operations to deliver the right products to the various Cruise Line partners. This isn’t your regular high street buying role, you have the added requirement of delivering the right range / assortment to the Cruise Line, ensuring guests on board are satisfied with their retail experience.

About you:

Proven experience in a Buying Assistant or Assistant Buyer role in a retail environment is essential

Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail is crucial

Presentation skills is an advantage

Adaptable attitude towards change, opportunities and project management as designated from time to time

Excellent PC skills that include Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint

Structured planning, organisation and time management skills

A team player who relishes the opportunity of working within an entrepreneurial environment and delivering results against challenging targets
