As Commercial/Procurement Manager you will take responsibility for delivering Power Engineering Contracts including tendering, managing resources, evidencing sound commercial skills and providing financial reporting to senior management. You will provide high quality administration support to aid the management of procurement and sub-contractor administration and manage NEC3 Commercial Contracts. Ensuring all procurement is ordered correctly and delivered on time to prevent delays with projects, you will prepare and negotiate contracts and contract amendments necessary to meet business requirements and franchise commitments/obligations. Tendering indirect purchase requirements of varying values, you will provide commercial and contractual advice to the business and management reporting where required. Liaison with suppliers and contractors to negotiate prices, delivery and terms, you will proactively ensure the firm are getting the best products and services available and in line with the project requirements, while assisting in establishing clients’ requirements. You will work closely with the commercial and project team to ensure projects are financially viable and identifying any deviations or additions to project work scope, retaining compliance to the contract at all times. Regular financial and operational reporting to the firm’s Directors is essential.
Coming from an Electrical Engineering background with ideally a degree in electrical engineering/related discipline, you will possess a sound understanding of electrical distribution systems as well as commercial/financial knowledge to efficiently manage contracts from start to finish. You should have 5 years+ experience within a Commercial/Procurement focused position and exhibit strong interpersonal, organisational and negotiation skills.
