Continuous Quality Improvement Manager- Homebased APPRENTICESHIPS /IQA

Job Description

Our client is a market leading Training and Apprenticeship provider based in Leicester. Due to continued growth they are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager. Quality is at the heart of all they do , ensuring both clients and learners receive nothing other than excellence.

Although this role will be mainly home working you will be within an easy commute of Leicester as there is an expectation to attend client sites and the office on a regular basis.

Job Purpose:

As Continuous Quality Improvement Manager your role is to manage, co-ordinate, support and facilitate implementation of new and improved quality structures, processes and activities. Working closely with delivery teams, you report directly to Director of Quality and Compliance. You will promote success and achievement for learners and employers that is of high quality and to enhance performance and improvement across the organisation to ensure the company is working as effectively as possible. To project lead with a strategic direction and leadership role to advocate for high quality standardised curriculum delivery in non-regulated and regulated teaching, learning and assessment that exceeds the minimum standards set by awarding organisations, end-point assessment providers, funding bodies and other external stakeholders.

For this role you will need to be adaptable, challenge motivated and thrive on implementing high standards in education and training.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Develop a culture of continuous quality improvement across the organisation.

Develop, implement and maintain accredited standards including Matrix and ISO 9001

Implement SAR/QIP requirements and support review processes throughout the year

Implement and lead an annual standardisation plan, in line with awarding body and organisation requirements across all curriculum sectors

Maintain annual plan of observation, Teaching Learning & Assessment in line with strategy

Support the development and implement sampling plans for internal verification across delivery teams

Lead and manage all awarding body accreditation and assurance visits and ensure full compliance with awarding organisations, company strategies, policies, and procedures.

Support quality assurance and compliance for continuous improvement within teams and across the organisation

Support the development of IQA’s, ensuring all have current occupational competency and they meet audit and compliance requirements

Support the IQAs to carrying out their Job role and all expectations are met to the highest standards

Develop, support, and monitor course evaluations, learner voice and employer feedback

Support and drive the strategy and quality plan for all areas aligned to business improvements and follow the design for the Quality Improvement Plan

Complete due diligence on various opportunities and company changes

Champion the E portfolio platforms and ensure the most effective use is maintained

Carryout Quality improvement meetings and communicate to the senior leadership teams action plans and expectations

Implement Improvement to the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment (OTLA) to a Grade 1 standard

Manage and develop relationships with EPAs and the Institute for Apprenticeships Standards

To lead, deliver and facilitate all quality assurance audit activity, identifying issues and risks, policies, and process improvement. (IQA Cycle)

Ensure regular, planned training on ways of working to ensure positive change on the business

Implement recommendations or required changes on specific actions to meet best practice and improvements

Diagnose, design and deliver a suite of training courses, and other blended solutions such as coaching, eLearning and personal development training programmes (I.e. OneFile)

Coach, support, and collaborate regularly with Sector IQA’s, HOD’s and FS teams

Oversee feedback from learners/client and ensure appropriate actions through learner voice

To deliver robust and informative management information to the exec team in the most appropriate and transparent format

Maintain up to date knowledge of government policy, industry updates and the wider skills sector to influence internal planning and outcomes

Essential Requirements:

Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (or equivalent)

Expertise and understanding of Ofsted and ESFA regulations

The applicant should hold the assessor qualifications (CAVA or equivalent)

Experience of Apprenticeship End Point Assessment (EPA)

Hold GSCEs A*-C grace or equivalent (e.g. Level 2 English and Maths Functional Skills)

Hold a minimum Level 3 Management qualification

Demonstrate leading on standardisation and evidence of contributing to the CPD of staff

Must hold a full clean driving license and willing to travel nationally when required

Understanding of mentoring and coaching best practice

Strong communication and self – motivation skills

Time management skills with the ability to work under pressure


Degree within Teaching, Quality or Management

Level 5 Management Qualification

Level 5 Coaching and Mentoring Qualification
