Responsible for the following aspects of the supply chain: sourcing, purchasing, transport, warehousing and distribution. Also involved in identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce the overall supply chain cost base.

Summary of Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Securing a constant supply of materials to Production as required to meet production output targets
Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information systems to ensure consistency of supply both to production and external customers.
Initiate activities to achieve customer satisfaction to on time delivery in full customer required quantities and seek improvements to customer perception
Manage and co-ordinate activities focused on inventory reduction to achieve the optimum level of inventory for the plant.
Liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers on a daily basis; to develop and maintain relationships.
Manage supplier base closely ensuring cost and quality control are maintained.
Supporting Programme Management with new projects / platform implementation
Responsibility for all staff within Logistics, Purchasing and Stores
Ensure customer requirements are met by accurate planning and coordination of supply chain and manufacturing activities
Lead key stakeholder engagement internally (Plant, Divisional) and externally (customer, supplier), often at senior/exec level
Provide strong leadership, direction and guidance to the site Logistics function, including their collective effectiveness, individual performance management and development
Optimise inventory performance and supply chain related costs
Engage with Divisional operations and supply chain functions to support the global development of supply chain systems and best practice
Education / Qualifications Required:
HND level or equivalent
Previous experience of working in an automotive, manufacturing environment in a similar role
Experience in supply chain management and leadership
Problem solving, technical and analytical capability.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Good time management and organisational skills
