Job Description

To achieve continuous sales growth through the achievement of VOH (vehicles on hire), revenue and profit targets from new business sales opportunities, identified within an allocated area/territory. This role is purely focussed on winning new business.

Description

As follows:-

  • To get vehicles on hire (in line with target), within set parameters, through consultative solution selling to potential customers, achieving the best result for both the customer and my client.
  • To get vehicles on hire (in line with target), within set parameters, through solution selling to potential customers, achieving the best result for both the customer and my client.
  • To creatively research key business sectors, use facts, figures and tools to present plans, and forecast future goals and targets.
  • To be responsible for achieving predetermined monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets in line with price matrices.
  • Develop a robust pipeline of prospects to deliver growth of the business by identifying targeted SME’s and dealing effectively with qualified leads from central Marketing.
  • To create and maintain a ‘New Business Development Plan’ in conjunction with the ASM that clearly articulates a strategy for developing new business. This should contain both short- and long-term goals with agreed measures and milestones.
  • To convert a forecast percentage of prospects into actual customers.
  • To report results and complete ‘Fact Find’ documents within agreed timescales. To have these reports available for review by sales managers.
  • To gain a competitive edge in negotiations through a thorough understanding of the market.
  • To maintain and increase a personal data base of prospects that is both meaningful and up-to-date.
  • Ensure the necessary activity, in line with ASM requirements, is achieved – cold calling, prospecting, door knocking, vehicle spotting, research etc.
  • Conducting quality appointments with prospects in line with the NBM activity plan.
  • To negotiate contracts and service level agreement (SLAs) with new customers within agreed parameters.
  • To continuously identify additional revenue opportunities for NVH.
  • To establish close working relationships with relevant members of NVH to enable delivery of customer requirements effectively.
  • To proactively provide each customer with the appropriate management information as required in order to win/develop the account.
  • Ensure full compliance with our CRM system and other systems made available to ensure the following are actioned:
  • Provide accurate forecasts to the ASM.
  • Detailed management of the prospect data base and customer folders.
  • Identification of non-rental related opportunities to increase sales revenue.
  • Follow appropriate account opening process to ensure smooth integration for the customer.
  • Completion and maintenance of an effective ‘Fact Find’ document for each prospect via the BRD
  • Effective use of the sales proposal tool to ensure appropriate rate levels.
  • Relationship Management utilising the Business Support team to assist in the customer relationship
  • Effective diary and time management.

Profile

As follows:-

  • Good general education {with minimum qualification of grade A-C GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths is required}
  • Previous experience of significant new business generation
  • Proven record of exceeding targets
  • Experience of selling within a B2B environment to SME market
  • Proven ability and experience in solution selling
  • Strong influencing and negotiation ability
  • Tenacious, resilient and passionate in character
  • An ability to deliver presentations to customers – all levels of management.
  • An ability to identify and resolve issues. And to able to collate and analyse data – PC literate.
  • An ability to write well-articulated proposals and reports in response to clients’ needs.
  • An ability to build strong relationships.
  • An ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated, committed to meeting deadlines (self-imposed and external), and to manage multiple requirements and demands effectively
