Investigo have been retained to search for a Portfolio Lead that will be reporting into the IT Exec for the region accountable for the Portfolio.

The Portfolio Lead is a senior role within IT and will work across the IT Leadership Team, Business Unit Exec community, and the wider IT organisation within to define the IT strategy for their portfolio.

About the role

  • They will act as deputy for the IT Exec they report to.
  • They will be fully accountable for creating and maintaining key stakeholder relationships within their portfolio,
  • They will understand business strategies and shaping the IT strategy to deliver a portfolio of work to enable business strategy outcomes.
  • They will ensure Portfolio requirements are fed in to the central demand management process with clear business priorities, to ensure agreed, prioritised IT delivery roadmaps are created and tracked across the entire organisation.
  • This role is accountable for the management of budgets and deliverables across the portfolio
  • The Portfolio Lead will be fully accountable managing business change across their portfolio, working with key stakeholders within the business to assess impacts on system, data and organisation change.
  • Ensuring business readiness and successful adoption of change. They will also be fully accountable for robust business case definition, and associated benefits realisation tracking.
  • Ensure the IT LRP budget process, providing a fully transparent budget submission that is agreed across the IT and business region leadership teams.
  • They will manage any changes to the budgets, ensuring full agreement and transparency both in delivery and operational budgets.
  • They will work across IT to provide oversight of all demand and associated budget spend.

Requirements

  • Supply Chain and ERP expertise
  • Experience of the following technologies: D365, Blue Yonder, Anaplan, RelexManagement of Portfolios qualification
  • Knowledge of project planning tools
  • Management of third parties, delivery contracts and plans
  • Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Senior stakeholder management
  • Ability to develop and maintain position as credible, valued IT partner
  • Ability to identify technology trends and apply them to achieve business outcomes
  • Ability to manage delivery of a portfolio of IT work
  • Resource management
  • Budget management
  • Ability to balance priorities across multiple deliveries
  • Commercial negotiations alongside procurement teams
