Production Manager and Co-ordinator
TV production company behind the phenomenally successful Time Team which ran on television for over 20 years is offering an opportunity for an experienced Production Manager and Co-ordinator to join the team to
support the filming and production process.
To assist in the production of content of a more online based platform shared to a global audience, the role would include the following:
- working with and reporting to the producers and senior production staff
- drawing up and managing a production schedule and budget
- negotiating costs with suppliers
- hiring crew and contractors
- approving bookings of resources, locations, equipment and supplies
- arranging permissions and risk assessments
- managing a production office team
- making sure the production runs to schedule
- problem solving during filming
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge:
You’ll need experience of working in a Production Co-ordinator role, delivering a range of productions on time and on budget as well as experience of line managing and motivating a team. You’ll need effective production management skills that have been proven in a busy programme environment, along with a technical understanding to enable the most efficient production of content as well as strong negotiating and influencing
A good knowledge and understanding of all up to date broadcast and production technology and processes is essential and ideally you will have experience of outside broadcasts and online platforms.
You will be educated to degree level and have had at least 5 years post graduate experience within TV/Media production or demonstrate similar skills and experience in a non-media environment. You will have exemplary communication skills and work easily with all media software platforms and create, manage and forecast budgets.
You will be self-motivated and have a pro-active approach. You will demonstrate initiative and ability to think and prioritise quickly under pressure and will have a key eye and expert attention to detail.
You will need to be able to travel throughout the UK dependent on filming schedule and obviously in line with Government Covid guidelines.
