Job Description

The successful Purchasing Manager will be responsible for:

Ensuring that supplier agreements are in place for all key suppliers
Driving supplier performance through cost reduction. OTD, quality etc.
Developing and implementing the purchasing strategy for the business
Inventory management in conjunction with other key business stakeholders
Managing a team of buyers
Maintaining sufficient stock and inventory levels for production
Maintaining relationships and negotiate contracts / prices with suppliers
Leading purchasing strategies with the aim of reducing variable and overhead costs for the business
Forecasting price and market trends

The Successful Applicant

The successful purchasing manager will:

Have prior experience within a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Have excellent negotiation skills
Be able to work under pressure in a fast paced and demanding environment with multiple on-going short/long term tasks
Be a strong leader and people manager to grow and develop a team of individuals
