Job Description

We have a Staff Nurse Position available to work in a high our performing Residential care homes or Independent Hospitals supported by a very experienced Nursing and Management team. Applicants must hold appropriate Nursing qualifications as the roles foundations are on individualised resident care. MHC’s preceptorship package is a supportive structured process that allows newly qualified nurses to develop their skills with supervision and guidance.

A key aspect of the role is supporting the resident’s journey and progression through the care pathway, provide clinical leadership to both staff and residents and act as a role model for the delivery of care and ensure that all staff are performing to required standards. The Staff Nurse will ensure effective and adequate individual assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care and oversee the named nurse role for your identified residents.

The ideal candidate for this post will have experience in working with individuals with a learning disability and mental health issues, possess experience in being a named nurse, writing care plans and risk management plans and for preceptorship nurses willing to undertake the preceptorship package offered at our services. Within this role you will need an understanding of person centred care, positive behaviour support, active support, team working, personal development, medication procedures, safeguarding policies and procedures, motivation skills, be self-motivated, flexible and organised.

Full time – 42 hours per week

GBP18 per hour plus enhancements for nights and bank holidays.
