The Opportunity:
As Product Manager you will play an “active” role across all aspects of the delivery lifecycle from sales, working with acquirers to communicating findings and identifying documentation requirements. Also, you will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information used in an ongoing portfolio of work.

Some of the key responsibilities for this successful individual would be, but no limited to:
Product Development and Delivery
* Responsible for ideation, planning and execution
* Collaborate with acquirers / merchants and colleagues to develop new ideas for features and products
* Conduct feature-specific detailed analysis to be used to create the user stories needed to deliver the user requirements of the project along with defining acceptance criteria
* Prioritise features and products based on customer, commercial and strategic value
* Communicate product performance to stakeholders
* Review of up-and-coming requests and working with acquirers / business / merchants
* Review of API guide
* Product Strategy and Roadmap
* Deep research of user needs, the market & technology
* Model the value of product improvements to the customer and company
* Develop and get buy-in for the product strategy
* Sequence new features and product improvements in a roadmap
* Forecast new product penetration utilising market trends
Generate, maintain & prioritise the Product Backlog:Identify real customer problems to be solved through ideation with acquirers / merchants and colleagues
Turn requests/issues into a Product Backlog
Gather detailed requirements relating to new features and products
Turn requirements into the artefacts developers need to get new features and products to market: e.g. user stories, process maps and detailed workflows
Refine the Product Backlog by ensuring each user story has acceptance criteria
Prioritise & maintain the Product Backlog
Drive the delivery of the product strategy and product backlog
Deliver the specification of projects needed to ship new features and products
Participate in all agile ceremonies: stand-ups, refinement, planning, reviews and retrospectives
Facilitate discussions across the agile delivery team to ensure problems are solved and blockers unblocked
Communicate performance

The Candidate:
The successful Technical Product Manager will be/have:
Experienced background in the Payments industry, Fintech, and Financial Services
Have a technical background or Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering
Proven experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager – preferably in Fin Tech, Payments
Experience using Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban
Ability to define a product backlog using standard categories like epics and user stories
Very strong project delivery skills: always shipping new features & products
Analytical and commercially sharp
Top notch stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence colleagues in small, cross-functional scrum teams
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent team work skills, ability to manage own workload and tenacious attention to detail
Have a curiosity and interest in the Payments, Financial Services, Technology
Experience of working on projects of a technically complex nature
A comfortable ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Interested in developing an understanding of industry trends
Be a collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
Extremely organised is a given with strong time-management skills, working efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment whilst working on multiple projects
Exceptional attention to detail
Pragmatic problem-solving abilities
Desirable requirements:
A basic understanding of PHP
Detailed understanding of PCI:DSS
Experience with Postman for API testing
An understanding of the Agile/Scrum framework;
Industry recognised qualification e.g. CSPO would be icing on the cake
